☕ How to Brew the Perfect Coffee?
A great coffee starts with quality ingredients and proper brewing. Here’s how to extract the best flavors from every cup.
🔎 1️⃣ Choose Fresh, Well-Ground Coffee
- Opt for freshly roasted whole beans to preserve all their aromas.
- Avoid industrial coffee, which may have been stored for months.
- If using pre-ground coffee, consume it within three days to prevent flavor loss.
⚖️ 2️⃣ Measure the Right Coffee-to-Water Ratio
Use a 1:17 coffee-to-water ratio for a perfectly balanced cup:
✔ 30g of coffee per 500ml of water
✔ If you prefer it stronger, try 1:16 or 1:15
⚙️ 3️⃣ Grind Your Coffee to the Right Consistency
- The grind size should match your brewing method:
🔹 Coarse grind → French Press
🔹 Medium grind → Filter, Chemex
🔹 Fine grind → Espresso - Tip: Grind your coffee just before brewing for maximum freshness.
💧 4️⃣ Heat Water to the Right Temperature
- Boil the water, then let it sit for 1 minute.
- The ideal temperature is between 86°C and 96°C (185°F – 205°F) to avoid over-extraction and bitterness.
☕ 5️⃣ Prepare & Rinse the Filter
- If using a paper filter, rinse it with hot water to remove any unwanted flavors.
- Then, place the ground coffee in the center of the filter.
🌊 6️⃣ Pour Water Slowly for Proper Extraction
- First Pour (Blooming): Pour a small amount of hot water (twice the weight of the coffee) and let it sit for 30 to 45 seconds.
- Continue pouring slowly in circular motions for even saturation.
- Total brewing time: 3 to 4 minutes for optimal flavor extraction.
🎉 7️⃣ Enjoy & Savor Your Coffee
- Gently stir before serving to mix the flavors evenly.
- Take your time to appreciate the aroma and texture of your cup.
📌 Extra Tips
